Prolific writer for children and entertainer David Walliams has been dropped by his longtime publishing house, as confirmed by the firm.

A spokesman for the company said: "Following a thorough review, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams."

Reports indicate that the conclusion was taken subsequent to an investigation into allegations of conduct deemed unsuitable directed at young women.

The company declined to specify the specific rationale behind the move, noting: "It is not our policy to discuss private personnel issues."

A Prolific Writing Journey

Walliams stands as a most successful children's authors, with sales exceeding more than 60 million copies globally in five dozen languages.

His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins fifteen years ago.

Several of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into small-screen adaptations.

To date, he has released more than 40 books in total, encompassing a Christmas book called *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins this past October.

Television and Literature

He first rose to fame on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was awarded an OBE back in 2017 for his services to charity and the arts.

This move occurs subsequent to the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss last fall.
